Privacy Policy

Effective July 11, 2026

Your privacy matters deeply to us. This Privacy Policy explains what information WidLove ("we," "us," or "our") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using WidLove, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

We collect information you provide directly, including:

  • Account details such as your name, email address, phone number, and password.
  • Profile information such as your age, location, photos, bio, and search preferences.
  • Messages and other content you share with other members or with our team.
  • Payment information when you subscribe to a paid plan (processed securely by our payment provider).

We also automatically collect limited technical data such as device and usage information to help operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use your information

  • To create and manage your account and profile.
  • To provide matching, messaging, and other core features.
  • To keep the community safe, including automated screening for harassment, spam, fake profiles, scams, and explicit content.
  • To process payments and manage memberships.
  • To communicate with you about your account, safety, and relevant updates.

3. What other members can see

To protect your privacy, other members only see your first name and last initial, along with the profile details you choose to share. Your email address, phone number, and full last name are never shown to other members.

4. How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with trusted service providers who help us operate the Service (such as hosting, email delivery, and payment processing), and when required by law or to protect the safety of our community.

5. Safety and content moderation

We use automated tools and human review to detect and respond to harmful behavior. Content you share may be analyzed for safety purposes, and reports you submit are reviewed by our safety team. See our Terms of Service for details on our zero-tolerance policy.

6. Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. When you delete your account, we remove or de-identify your personal information, except where we must retain it to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce our agreements.

7. Your choices and rights

  • You can review and update your profile at any time.
  • You can manage email preferences and unsubscribe from marketing messages.
  • You can delete your account from your account settings.
  • Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights to access, correct, or delete your personal information.

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at privacy@widlove.com.

8. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security, but we work hard to safeguard your data.

9. Children's privacy

WidLove is intended only for adults 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated policy.
