Terms of Service

Welcome to WidLove. These Terms of Service ("Terms") are a binding agreement between you and WidLove ("we," "us," or "our") and govern your access to and use of our website, apps, and services (together, the "Service"). By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Who can use WidLove

You must be at least 18 years old and legally able to enter into a contract to use WidLove. By using the Service you confirm that the information you provide is truthful and that you are creating an account for yourself and not on behalf of anyone else.

2. Your account

You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for all activity that happens under your account. Notify us right away if you believe your account has been accessed without your permission. You may close your account at any time from your account settings.

3. Community expectations

WidLove is a caring space for widows, widowers, and those who have experienced loss. You agree to treat other members with respect and honesty. You will not misrepresent your identity, solicit money, spam, harass, or share content that is unlawful, hateful, sexually explicit, deceptive, or harmful.

4. Zero-Tolerance Policy

The safety of our community comes before everything else. WidLove enforces a strict zero-tolerance policy toward any behavior we deem harmful, deceptive, abusive, or otherwise inappropriate. This includes, without limitation, harassment or abuse of any kind, romance scams or requests for money, fraudulent or fake profiles, spam, hate speech, threats, sexually explicit or exploitative content, and any attempt to defraud, endanger, or deceive other members.

We reserve the right, at our sole and absolute discretion and without prior notice, to remove any content, suspend or permanently delete any account, and terminate any member's access to the Service for any reason we deem inappropriate — including conduct that occurs off-platform where it affects the safety or trust of our community.

Where appropriate, we may also report unlawful conduct to law enforcement. A decision to remove content or terminate an account under this policy is final. We are not obligated to provide refunds for any unused portion of a paid membership when an account is terminated for a violation of these Terms.

5. Reporting and safety tools

We provide reporting tools and automated safety screening to help keep the community secure. If someone makes you feel unsafe, please use the in-app reporting feature or contact our safety team at safety@widlove.com. Never send money to anyone you meet on WidLove.

6. Memberships and payments

Some features require a paid membership. Paid plans are billed on a recurring basis until cancelled, and you can cancel at any time from your account settings. Except where required by law or expressly stated, payments are non-refundable.

7. Content you share

You retain ownership of the content you post, but you grant WidLove a non-exclusive, worldwide license to host and display that content for the purpose of operating the Service. You are responsible for the content you share and must have the right to share it.

8. Disclaimers

WidLove is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not conduct criminal background checks on members and cannot guarantee the conduct or identity of any member. You are responsible for your own interactions and for using good judgment, especially when meeting anyone in person.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, WidLove will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or your interactions with other members.

10. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will take reasonable steps to notify you. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect means you accept the updated Terms.
